FAL Pro, the brainchild of Jean Hodgkiss, was founded in 1996 with a view to creating a horse rug as close to perfectly designed and produced as possible. Jean felt that many rugs on the market at that time failed to live up to horse owner's expectations given the high price paid for these rugs. So FAL Pro was created, with a mission to design and produce consistently top quality horse rugs, specifically designed for the comfort and safety of your horse.
While many manufacturers have transferred production of their horse rugs outside of the UK, primarily to the Far Eastern nations, FAL Pro continues to produce top quality turnout and stable rugs here in Britain. We stand behind our motto - 'British made, for people who love horses', because at FAL Pro we still believe that British is best!
FAL Pro use a manufacturing process that is totally unique and superior to any other rug manufacturer. Designed by horse people and created by designers, all FAL Pro's products are tried and tested on many shapes and sizes of horse before they reach the market place. Once proven, designs are transferred electronically through Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing techniques (CAD/CAM) onto the sandwich of materials that make the rug. Precision patterning used by FAL Pro guarantees a perfectly balanced rug EVERY time, with 360 degree sewing capability ensuring a perfect shape is maintained throughout the lifetime of the rug.

In 2001 FAL Pro joined forces with Slumberdown, the world renowned makers of luxurious pillows, duvets and quilts. Knowing that your horse could benefit from Slumberdown's knowledge of all things warm and cosy, in 2004 FAL Pro introduced the Slumberdown range of turnout and stable rugs, so that you can wrap your horse up in a real duvet this winter!
